Eliminating The Uncertainty Of Construction Through Prefabrication

This program will address the use of prefabricated wall panels for the exterior envelopes of large-scale construction projects.  Our presenters from South Valley Prefab in Littleton, Colorado will discuss the advantages that prefabricated panels have over traditional site built walls, including lower costs, higher levels of quality control, reduced environmental impact on construction site neighborhoods, and lower safety risks on jobsites.  The use of prefabricated panels can greatly reduce construction schedules by allowing elements to be manufactured off-site and delivered to the project precisely when needed.  Fabricating wall panels off-site in a controlled environment can allow for a greater focus on construction tolerances and enhanced attention to detail in the assembly of critical elements such as air and moisture barriers.

Join us on November 8th to add your perspective and experience to the discussion! Attendees will learn about:

  • Realize how off-site prefabrication of wall panels can reduce noise, traffic congestion, and pollutants in construction site neighborhoods.
  • Understand how there can be an increase in construction safety through the fabrication of building assemblies off-site in controlled, weather-protected fabrication facilities.
  • Understand adjustments in project planning and design documentation required for coordinating prefabricated panel construction into a building project.
  • Learn how prefabricated exterior enclosure panels can lead to increased weather resistance and insulation values through greater quality control and tighter construction tollerances.

Presenter: Brian Rohnke

Brian Rohnke is the President of South Valley Prefab, a prefabricated exterior wall panel company that encloses buildings 75% faster than field built construction.  His clients include The Beck Group, Turner Construction, Swinerton, McCarthy, MA Mortenson, Weitz, Stonebridge Companies, Trammell Crow Residential, EYP Architects, SAR Architects, and many more firms. Brian’s passion is to help his clients reimagine the way they build through prefabrication.  He enjoys taking his clients on tours through their fabrication shop and their prefab projects, to help his clients visualize prefabricated exteriors wall panels on their next project. Before devoting his work fulltime to South Valley Prefab, Brian served as Sales Manager for South Valley Drywall for 26 years prior to leading South Valley Prefab. Outside of work Brian is an avid hiker, skier, snowboarder and devoted family man. He has been married to his wife, for 28 years and has a son and daughter.
