What is Lean Architecture?
5 Essentials for Better Project Delivery
Accelerate Decision Making - Effective Communication - Strategic Modelling - Streamline Contract Documents - Provide Targeted Reviews
Lean Architecture is the ongoing process of rethinking and improving architectural methodology. It is the pursuit of better work by applying Lean principals to every aspect of practice. It is about smarter information flow and understanding how we perceive and process information in order to be better communicators among ourselves and to the users of our services. It is identifying what adds value and reducing or eliminating what doesn’t. Buildings and the documents that describe them are an “Organized Complexity” consisting of overlapping building systems and components, logically arranged and coordinated with each other. Well-designed processes can aid in the planning, design, integration, and quality documentation of building systems and make the deliverables easier to understand and follow.
Join us on October 12th for a discussion of Lean Architecture and the 5 essentials for better project delivery.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the type of problem a building design is and how it affects design management and effective project documentation.
- How to develop well thought out methods for getting work done rapidly and consistently with accuracy.
- How to create tools that facilitate organized client interaction and information gathering during design phases and then document it back to them in an easy to understand format.
- How to utilize prototypical drawing systems to simplify and streamline documentation.
