Matt Oberer, known as “Matt O,” is a licensed architect with 20 years of experience in design, construction administration, and business development. In 2009, he picked up a camera, turning a hobby into a passion and unexpected side business—learning photography entirely through online resources.
A former CSI member, he was heavily involved in construction administration, quality control, and document preparation. Though licensed in Arizona and New Mexico, he no longer practices architecture. Instead, since September 2021, he has been a full-time architectural photographer under “mattophoto,” specializing in commercial projects, interiors, construction photography, drone imagery, 3D scanning, and product photography.
